The song was created during Periscope live on June 15, 2018. Doja later previewed the final song during Instagram Live on June 17, 2018, and again on June 23, 2018. She also stated somewhere around 2018 during a livestream that she wants to record a music video for the song with Frankenstein as the song gave her a Halloween vibe. She also restated this during an interview in late-June 2019, but didn't mention the song itself.
Later, during The Scarlet Tour from October 2023 - July 2024, a snippet of the song was used as an interlude/intro to "97", along with "Shots" and "MOOO!". Despite this, the song remains unreleased.
