- Doja states "'Ouchies' really hit me like crazy out of nowhere among all the beats. When I've heard 'Ouchies' I was just like 'man, I can't put this down'. It's a stand-out record, but it just hits too hard. And I'm a dancer and I love good songs I can dance to."
- The lines "Round one, fight / Round two, ice / Round three, bye" point to a boxing match in which she has the leading position, meaning that Doja can face any challenges that come her way.[2]
