"Ain't News" is an unreleased song by Doja Cat. It was previously intended for her fourth studio album, Scarlet. It was later repurposed for her fifth studio album, Vie; however, it was scrapped again.
Background[]
Doja Cat posted an older working track list of Scarlet on September 28, 2023, a few days after the albums release. This is a second demo track list, similar to an earlier one shared on April 18, 2023. More scraps can be seen in this image, including "GO TEAM", "Dead Inside", "Your Man", "Sweet n Salty", "Ain't News", "I Don't Mind", and an unknown scrapped feature for "Balut".
On November 12, 2024, Doja Cat shared an image to X (formerly known as Twitter) of various tracks that are making an appearance on her upcoming fifth studio album, one of which included "Ain't News".
Doja posted another demo tracklist to X (formerly known as Twitter) on April 13, 2025. This updated tracklist reveals most of the previous tracks replaced with new ones, with "Ain't News" not being seen. The song was officially confirmed to be scrapped once the official tracklist was released on September 19, 2025.
